The 2011 Audi A3 is largely unchanged. This 4-door hatchback is smaller and less costly than the Audi A4 premium-compact car. A3 comes with a choice of two 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engines. 2.0T versions have a 200-horsepower turbocharged engine. It's available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission that behaves much like an automatic. The 2.0 TDI has a 140-horsepower turbodiesel 4-cylinder and the automated manual only. All A3s have front-wheel drive. Audi's quattro all-wheel drive is available on 2.0T models equipped with the automated-manual transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, rear-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. Several option packages are offered on all A3s. The Premium Plus Package includes a power driver seat, wireless cell-phone link, aluminum interior trim, and xenon headlights. The Sport Package includes a sport suspension, sport seats, and 18-inch wheels. The Cold Weather Package includes heated front seats, mirrors, and washer nozzles. The Convenience Package has rear-obstacle detection, a Bose-brand sound system, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlights. The Titanium Sport Package includes Alcantara/leather sport seats and specific interior and exterior trim. A navigation system and sunroof are also optional.
